The cake I have in mind is not available on your website? Can you assist me in designing it?
Of course we can! We can design a unique, individual cake of your dreams incorporating your colour scheme, ideas and other design requirements.

You can call us or send us an email or simply arrange for consultation, to discuss details with no obligation.

I like one of your designs. Is it possible to vary the shape and colour?
Absolutely. We can vary the shape or colour as you wish. We will need to work together to create the perfect cake for you.

How long in advance should I order my cake?
Normally 2 weeks is a typical lead time. This time may vary during busy periods, especially during summer and festive seasons. Short notice events can be accommodated depending on position availability. For your piece of mind we advise to book in early.

Can I make a design appointment?
Yes. We recommend that if you want that special cake then please book a consultation.

However, One of our cake designer will be more than happy to assist you in a very accurate and time efficient manner. Please bing as much details about your event as possible, photos of any other cakes including your colour samples, copy of your invite etc.

Once your design is finalised, we will sketch your cake exactly the way it will be designed in order for you to witness how it will look.

Do you have a computer software to design a cake.
Yes. If you like we can also design your cake on our cake software. This gives you the opportunity to play with different ideas i.e. different colours, different type of layers or different type of pattern. We are probably the only one in the U.K. to offer this service to our customers.
Please remember that we are well renowned in delivering very accurate results and all of our orders are strictly based on a written cake order form.

On a multi-tiered cake can each tier have a different flavour?
Absolutely. You can choose plain, lemon, chocolate, carrot or simply you tell us the flavour and we will make it for you, after all we are a Bakery by profession.

How do i sample your cakes?
You can have a taste of all different type of our cake. You can only do this after your initial consultation Cake samples are sliced and boxed for our clients to take home with them and share with their fiancees, parents, whoever they like!.

There will be a charge of £10.00 for this, which would get deducted if you place an order with us.

I would like to keep the figurines and flowers from my cake. Which would be the best way to preserve them?
The best way is to place them in a airtight container with anti-moisture crystals to protect it from dust and moisture. They will preserve their appearance for many years.

I would like to purchase a cake topper seen on one of your cakes. Would this be possible?
Unfortunately, all of our cake toppers and decorations are hand sugar-crafted by our master cake artist exclusively for our cakes and are not sold separately.

Would I need coffee or dessert size portions?
If you are planning to serve your cake in conjunction with other desserts, you will need coffee size portions. Otherwise, you will need dessert size portions for serving your cake as your main dessert.

The approximate dimensions of a dessert size portion is 2.5 x 5 x 9 cm.

Can I pick up my cake?
For your piece of mind, we provide a safe, professional delivery service with extremely competitive delivery fees.

Please consider that specialty cakes are heavy, perishable and according to their design, need extra care while been delivered. They can be easily damaged if not delivered properly.

How much are your custom design cakes?
We do not have a fixed price on any of our custom design cakes. Due to the complexity and detail work that goes into designing a cake, prices may vary.

It also depends on how many guests you have coming to your event.

How does one order a Trifles custom cake?
Simple. Visit our website. Send us an email with your contact details and tell us when would you like to come in for a one on one cake consultancy session with our design team. We will respond either the same day or the next, with a confirmed appointment time and date for us to meet.

What is our payment policy?
We take a 50% non-refundable deposit on every custom cake order. The balance will be due on the day you collect your cake. You can pay with a major credit card, debit card or cash. To cancel your order you must notify us 5 working days before your date of collection.

Do you deliver?
Of course we do. Anywhere within the Greater Manchester area. Or you can come and collect your cake from our bakery in Ashton-Under-Lyne. A special van with trained professionals are responsible to make sure that your custom cake arrives safely at the venue of your event.

Do you cater to special diet requirements?
Yes we do. Eggless custom designed cakes are one of our best sellers amongst our vegan customers and we can even bake you sugar free cakes, keeping the restrictions of diabetic customers in mind.
